Though a partnership with Bethany Christian Services, Focus on the Family is pleased to announce a first-of-its-kind endeavor for complimentary post-adoption clinical training. This unique program is designed to better equip licensed therapists to help struggling adoptive families.
Called ADOPTS, the program is built on the foundation of the ARC Model developed at the Trauma Center of the Justice Resource Institute in Brookline, MA, and on the most recent neurological research on the physiological impact of trauma. This program was developed by Bethany through a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Our priority and commitment is simple: we want adoptive families to thrive, and for many adoptive families, because of the trauma their child has experienced, they need properly trained Christian therapists to help them do just that.
